Jan and Peter left us two precious hand written and illustrated journals of trips by stagecoach and boat:
- Reys uyt den Haage na & van Parys (trip from The Hague to and from Paris) 1765, June 16th – July 18th
- Reys na Braband en Vlaanderen (trip to Brabant and Vlaanderen) 1768, July 28th -September 14th.
Both journals measure about 80 pages and give an interesting recount of the trip, the travelcompanions, the architecture of visited cities and of the means of travel. Below please see the title page, the text page and an illustration page from each of the journals.
